Lyons, France, November 2, 2005--Blanchon of France has launched S.D. AQUA, a 100% water-based polyurethane lacquer for wood flooring.
The first European professional lacquer to be Eco-label certified, and to hold an Environmental Data Sheet, S.D. AQUA meets very strict quality and environmental criteria. S.D. AQUA has been specially designed to achieve an excellent result as regards both covering capacity and resistance, with only two coats needed on bare wood – no primer required.
Blanchon is a leading company in the French market for wood flooring and wood finishing, and produces solutions which are very much at the cutting edge from an environmental point of view. S.D. AQUA, which derives from a new formulating technology, is highly resistant and is endowed with an exceptional covering capacity, and offers an excellent quality finish with the application of only two coats. Not only does S.D. AQUA not give off any smell whatsoever during application or when dry, but it also contains less than 5% Volatile Organic Compounds (solvents). S.D. AQUA is re-coatable within two hours, and complies fully with the refurbishing and restoration constraints encountered by professionals.
Its technical performance meets the most stringent ecological criteria. In compliance with the environmental demands of the European Union Eco-label, S.D. AQUA production does not require even the slightest use of dangerous solvents. The EU Eco-label is the only official certification enabling environmentally friendly products to offer added value while at the same time guaranteeing performances identical to those of similar products.
S.D. AQUA can be used for finishing all types of suitably prepared wood flooring: living rooms, bedrooms, staircases, and so on. It can be applied on all wood species commonly used for wood flooring. S.D. AQUA is available in two colourless formats: Satin and Matt.
