Bentley Prince Street Receives ISO 9001 and ISO 14

Los Angeles, CA, December 14, 2005--Bentley Prince Street announced that its operations have been registered to the ISO 9001 Quality Standard and the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard by registrar BSI Management Systems. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) serves to develop manufacturing standards that have positive economic, social and environmental effects. The ISO 9000 group of standards has become an international reference for quality requirements and management. The ISO 14000 group of standards is designed to help organizations minimize their impact on the environment and continually improve environmental performance. BSI Management Systems, Bentley Prince Street's registrar for these certifications, is the world's leading international standards testing registration and certification organization. "At Bentley Prince Street, we're committed to making a positive contribution to the world we live in. Both quality and environmental responsibility are paramount in all that we do, including our design, production, products and customer service," said Anthony Minite, president of Bentley Prince Street. "Becoming certified to both ISO standards provides our customers and associates with even more assurances about the quality, safety and reliability of our products and processes." Earlier this year, all Bentley Prince Street's standard broadloom and modular products also received Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) certification from Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), an independent, third-party certifier. In addition, the company's products are certified to meet the requirements of the Carpet and Rug Institute's Green Label Plus test protocol, an independent testing program that measures total volatile organic compound emissions as well as individual chemical concentrations.
