Belgian Firm IVC To Manufacture in Georgia

Dalton, GA, Sept. 14, 2009--Resilient flooring firm IVC has been identified as the Belgian company that is planning a manufacturing facility in Dalton, Ga.

IVC's U.S. headquarters have been in Dalton since 2002 and it operates a 220,000 distribution center in Dalton. IVC stands for International Vinyl Company and it sells products here in the U.S under the IVC and Flexitec brands.

According to a press conference in Dalton at the Trade Center, IVC plans to invest $70 million on a new manufacturing facility in the Dalton area. In the past several years, it has established strong relationships at Carpet One and Abbey Carpet Stores. It is also sold in Sutherland Lumber, a major home center chain in the Midwest. In February, Carpet One named IVC its Partner of the Year.

Roughly 115 employees will be hired at first, bringing the total number in Dalton to 150.
