Beaulieu To Close Another Dalton Plant

Dalton, GA, Nov. 7, 2011 -- Beaulieu of America said it will close its Dalton Model Plant at the end of the year due reduced demand for carpet.

This is the second time in two weeks the company has announced a Dalton plant closing. The firm previously said it would close the nearby Riverbend plant.

Beaulieu said the move will also allow improved efficiency in its manufacturing operations

CEO Ralph Boe said the tufting and dying operations at the Model Plant will be phased-out and absorbed by other Beaulieu facilities.
