Beaulieu to Close Alabama Yarn Facility
In a press release Wednesday, Ralph Boe, Beaulieu president and CEO said “We are very saddened in making this announcement. We will attempt to relocate personnel to other Beaulieu Group LLC, facilities and will offer assistance to those that do not wish to transfer.”

Matt Arnold, president of the Marshall County Economic Development Office, said local and state officials will work together to help the 140 displaced employees.
Beaulieu of America was founded in 1978 as the first producer of polypropylene Oriental rugs.
In 1981, Beaulieu became the first manufacturer in the carpet and rug industry to produce its own yarns. The company has since become the world’s third-largest carpet company.
