Beaulieu Australia First to Get CRI Approval

Ormeau, Queensland, Australia, July 27, 2006--Beaulieu of Australia has produced the first carpets manufactured in Australia to achieve Green Label Plus certification under the U.S. Carpet & Rug Institute's environmental testing program. "We were absolutely delighted to get the call from Carroll Turner at CRI," said a company spokesperon, "advising us that our high density Antron Lumena products Tapis ESD and Confetti ESD featuring our own environmental MediBac and EcoBac backing systems had become the first Australian made carpets to achieve this coveted environmental benchmark. 'This follows closely on the heels of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) recognizing Beaulieu of Australia for its leadership in Industrial Eco-Efficiency at the Sustainable Industries Awards 2006. "We have now achieved the enviable environmental double --the most Eco-Efficient carpet manufacturing operation in Australia coupled with being the first Australian carpet mill to achieve the prestigious Green Label Plus certification for our carpets."
