Beauflor Powers Georgia Plant with Metro Atlanta’s Largest Rooftop Solar System
Cartersville, GA, July 18, 2025-Beauflor USA has activated the largest rooftop solar energy system by capacity in Metro Atlanta, bringing solar power to its flooring manufacturing facility in Cartersville, Georgia.
The 1,040-kilowatt system, built and maintained by Cherry Street Energy, will supply about 10% of Beauflor’s annual energy usage, according to the company. It’s expected to offset 920 metric tons of carbon emissions each year-the equivalent of more than 900 acres of forestland absorbing carbon-and generate enough electricity annually to power over 100 homes. The project required no upfront capital from Beauflor, thanks to a 30-year procurement agreement with Cherry Street, which invested $1.8 million and will handle all maintenance.
The system, made up of nearly 2,000 solar panels, was completed in under four. Its capacity narrowly surpasses the previous local record of 1,034 kW, according to the company, and it was designed with potential for future expansion.
Beauflor will purchase the solar-generated electricity directly from Cherry Street, enabling it to reduce operating expenses without the financial burden of owning or maintaining the system.
