BASF to Increase SB Latex Prices
Charlotte, NC, July 3, 2006 -- Effective August 1, 2006, or as contracts allow, BASF will raise prices by four cents per dry pound in the United States and Canada on all Butofan, Styrofan and Styronal carboxylated styrene-butadiene latex products supplied to the adhesives, architectural coatings, carpet, construction and nonwovens industries.
Also, effective August 1, 2006, or as contracts allow, BASF will raise prices by four cents per dry pound in the United States and Canada on all Butonal® high solids latex products supplied to the carpet, construction and foam industries.
These actions are being taken as a result of increased energy, raw material, and transportation costs.
