Mount Olive, NJ, Mar. 29--BASF today announced that it would increase prices for all extrusion grade nylon resins $0.12 to $0.16 per pound and spinning polymers by $0.06 per pound, effective April 15.
"Raw material and energy costs continue to be at historic high levels, which can no longer be absorbed by one level of the supply chain," said Mark Dobson, marketing and sales director for BASF's polyamide and intermediates global business unit in North America. "We must continue to bring margins to an acceptable level to support reinvestment."
