BASF Raising Price for Polyamide (Nylon) 6

Florham Park, NJ, Aug. 4, 2009--BASF said it will increase the price for Polyamide 6 polymer by $0.10 per pound effective Aug. 10.

This increase covers PA6 polymer for spinning, monofilament, film, wire and cable applications, and neat resin for compounding.

“This increase is necessary due to raw material cost increases, particularly benzene,” said Mark Dobson, business director.
