BASF Raising Polyamide Prices Dec. 1
Florham Park, NJ, Nov. 25, 2009--BASF said it will increase the price for Polyamide 6, Polyamide 6,6 and copolymer by $0.10 per pound effective Dec. 1.
This increase covers nylon polymer for spinning, monofilament, film, wire and cable applications, neat resin for compounding.
“This increase is necessary due to raw material cost increases, particularly benzene,” said Mark Dobson, business director of BASF’s Polyamide and intermediates business in North America.
