BASF Announces Price Increases

Charlotte, NC, May 19, 2011--BASF will increase its prices on all Styrofan and Styronal styrene-butadiene latex products by $0.10 per wet pound, effective May 23 or as contracts allow.

Styrofan and Styronal products are used as ingredients for various applications in the adhesives, architectural coatings, sealants, construction, paper and nonwovens markets.

This increase was necessitated by rising energy costs and significant increases in costs for raw materials such as butadiene and styrene.
