Barry Pidgeon of StarFloors Has Died

Dallas, Texas, August 28, 2019-Barry Pidgeon of StarFloors died August 24 at the age of 84. 

After graduation from The University of Texas in 1957, Pidgeon returned to Des Moines, Iowa to take the helm of the family business, Pidgeon’s Furniture & Appliances, serving as president and chief executive officer. The entire operation was later relocated to Dallas, Texas.

The Pidgeon family businesses, under the umbrella of Star Companies, have operated since 1907 and entered the flooring business at the end of World War II. StarFloors, a Fuse Alliance member, specializes in providing floorcovering materials and installation for residential real estate, multi family, senior living and country clubs. StarFloors is the primary flooring provider for some of the nation's largest REO (real estate owned) property holders and has been a Fannie Mae preferred vendor since 1995.
