Barlinek Develops Glueless Joint for Solid Wood

Barlinek, Poland, March 23, 2011 -- Barlinek, the largest producer of wooden floors in Europe, said it has developed a glueless joint for solid wood floorboards.

The new System has been registered in the European Patent Office, the company said.

Specially developed for solid wood floors, the MassivoLock fold down butt joint system makes floating assembly possible. MassivoLock was designed by engineers from the research and development department of Barlinek Inwestycje.

The company said that the systems prevents gaps, which normally are caused by the wood cracking or shrinking due to seasonal changes in a room's ambient conditions.
