Balta Broadloom launches the Stainsafe Collection

Antwerpen, Belgium, July 9, 2007-- Balta Broadloom, the wall-to-wall carpet division of the Balta Group, is introducing a new range of innovative twist products under the brand name Stainsafe®. These new products combine remarkable softness with superior wear characteristics and offer complete protection against stains.

A 7-year wear and 10-year Stainsafe® warranty brings peace of mind to the consumer and real added value to the market.

Balta has invested heavily in new extrusion and yarn processing equipment to produce these new solution dyed PP Stainsafe® yarns.  These yarns give a remarkable luxurious softness with superior wear characteristics.  The fibres absorb no moisture and household spills can easily be removed.

Balta has great plans to market this new brand in the near future. In support of this new brand, Balta Broadloom is developing market oriented professional POS material. Stainsafe® brochures, promo labels, hanging boards, headers, first aid kits and gadgets will be made available to support the brand.

Next to a variety of attractive sample books, a modern purpose built 'Stainsafe' tombola will be launched in the second half of the year.  On the new website, www.stain-safe.com, you will be able to find all information on the Stainsafe ranges, the warranty program, POS and maintenance guidelines. This website will be operational from September onwards.

The Stainsafe collection consist of 5 tufted and one brand new woven range:

Stainsafe Comfortis a 5/32 cut pile range with a pile weight of 1.550 gr/m2.  The thick super soft pile gives extra comfort and a luxurious feeling.

Stainsafe Living is a 5/32 Saxony with a clear pinpoint definition and finish. This range has a pile weight of 1.900 gr/m2 and is available in both 4 and 5m width.

Stainsafe Tweed is a 1.350 gr/m2 cut-pile, and combines a pp yarn with a multi-coloured space dyed nylon yarn to create a tweed effect. 

Stainsafe Luxury is a heavy weight champion with no less than 2.000 gr/m2 of the best two-ply heatset yarn. This carpet fits current market trends and is available in a strong colour bank.

Stainsafe Olympic is a finer 1/8 cut pile with a pile weight of 1.000 gr/m2.  A soft feel gives this range a subtle look with plenty of character.

Stainsafe Wilton Supreme is a traditionally woven range, made with a superior bleach resistant and easy to clean two-ply yarn.  This remarkable woven product is a real handful. Pure quality with a rich  natural colour pallet.
