Balta 2008 Revenues Short of $1 Billion
Sint-Baafs-Vijve, Belgium, Aug.31, 2009--Belgian flooring company Balta says it generated total sales revenue of $953 million.
The majority of the company has been held by the British investment company Doughty Hanson since August 2004.
The firm had 3350 employees in 2008.
The distribution of sales amongst the individual product segments has so far only been given for 2007. Of the $1 billion generated at that time, 45.8 % was accounted for by carpets, 24.3 % by fully-fashioned carpets, 18.7 % by laminate flooring, and 11.2 % by fiberboard.
