Bacova Guild to Consolidate Facilities

Low Moor, VA, July 30, 2007-- Bacova Guild, Ltd. (dba Lacey Mills) said it  will consolidate its Cartersville, Georgia bath rug manufacturing operations to the company’s plants in Low Moor and Rocky Mount, Virginia. The Consolidation will be completed no later than December, 2007.

Bacova will continue to supply the market with bath rugs from its distribution center in Low Moor. This consolidation will bring the tufting and finishing components of the business together with the newest technology in rug dyeing.

The design of the new equipment uses a fraction of the water and energy used by current equipment. In addition, the primary energy source will be a carbon-neutral biomass boiler.  The move is part of its corporate initiative to reduce its use of raw materials and natural resources, to reduce its carbon footprint, to reuse and recycle wherever possible, and to develop products that have less impact on the environment.

President Charlie Bowers said the move allows the company to become a stronger supplier to the market. The company will have job openings in Virginia and expects a number of its employees to transfer to the Virginia plants.
