Azrock Plant Hit By Tornado Saturday

Houston, TX, Aug. 18, 2008 – Tarkett's Azrock tile plant in Houston was damaged by a tornado Saturday. The affected area held unfinished goods and raw materials.

“We were very surprised by the tornado, but we are happy to report no one was injured,” said Gilles de Beaumont, president of Tarkett Commercial Tile.

“We are resuming production today; our shipping department was unaffected and will be able to conduct business as usual.”
