Atlanta, GA, September 2—Axminster’s new Heritage Collection is inspired by the British Galleries of London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.
The collection consists of two Wools of New Zealand Brand broadloom styles—Heritage Twist and Heritage Velvet.
Heritage Twist is a heavyweight cut-pile twist constructed from a blend of 80% New Zealand wool, 10% polyester and 10% nylon. Its 44-ounce texture provides a classic combination of high performance with a surface finish of high quality.
Heritage Twist has a palette reflective of classic Georgian, Gustavian and Art Deco periods. The 32-color selection includes delicate creams and grays, warm beiges and pinks, along with muted green, cool aquas and blues.
Heritage Velvet is a lush cut-pile colored after the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras. The 40-color palette is filled with shades of cream, gentle golds, pale greens and cool blues from the Georgian Era; strong reds, terracottas, dramatic golds, deep greens and sea blues from the Victorian Era; and fresh greens and blues, clean lilacs and a spectrum of yellow and orange from the Edwardian Era. Its fine velvet finish is crafted of 80% New Zealand wool/20% nylon and offered in a Silver weight of 38 ounces and a Gold weight of 46 ounces.
The carpets are available in any width from 1' up to 16' 4", resulting in minimum seaming and waste. Both styles have been approved by Wools of New Zealand as suitable for Heavy Residential and Medium Contract use.
