Attendance Up at Domotex Middle East

Dubai, UAE, June 3, 2008--Domotex Middle East 2008 brought together 280 exhibitors from 36 countries, in addition to attracting 6,430 visitors over the three days of the show.

Angela Schaschen, managing director of Deutsche Messe Dubai, said, “We are pleased with the overall response...which saw an increase in visitor turnout and exhibitor participation.”

A major attraction at this year’s exhibition included the unveiling of the luxurious collection featuring Swarovski-Crystals, a 24-karat gold cork mosaic, and 3D laminate from Parador.

The show also saw the inauguration of a new Designers Corner sponsored by the American University in Dubai’s Department of Interior Design. The exhibit comprised a designer’s lounge area featuring leading Gulf carpet and floor covering projects intended to inspire architects and designers.

The annual ‘Creative Flooring’ section featured a live demonstration area showcasing time-saving and quality-enhancing techniques and new products. The demonstrations, conducted by professionals from the UK, focused on ways to install mixed material combinations on a variety of surfaces including wall-to-wall carpets, wood flooring, carpet tiles and laminate flooring.
