Assopiastrelle to Take Part in AIA Convention

Bologna, Italy, May 19--Assopiastrelle will take part in the AIA convention of the American Institute of Architects, May 19-21 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The AIA represents a very important meeting with the experts and operators active in urban architecture and interior design, in that it is the main international market for Italian ceramic tiles. In cooperation with ICE, Assopiastrelle will take part in the event with a stand put together by Mauk Design, characterised by an unmistakable style much appreciated in previous shows. The stand's ten platforms will show innovative tiles. This year Assopiastrelle is showing experimental prototypes created in cooperation with the Domus Academy, showing the technological and world leadership of the Italian tile industry. There will also be a catalogue display, showing all the Association's publications and those of associated companies. There will also be seminars, coordinated by Alessandro Tenaglia of the Bologna Ceramics Centre and by Arturo Mastelli, an expert in the sector, dedicated to ventilated walls and ecosustainability in the various sectors of use. Assopiastrelle will also participate in AIA 2006, in Los Angeles from 8 to 10 June.
