ASCR Conference Targets Market Leadership

Columbia, MD, September 27, 2006 – Diversification and maximizing market share will be the major topics of discussion at the restoration conference sponsored by the Association of Specialists in Cleaning & Restoration (ASCR). Scheduled for Nov. 1-4, 2006 in Denver, Colo., Weathering the Storm 2: Survival, Prosperity & Market Leadership tackles the issues restorers face daily – from expansion options in a shrinking market, evaluating drying options and using ozone in fire restoration to selecting and implementing business management systems. “Not only is restoration technology constantly changing, but so is the way members manage and market their businesses to clients. We want them to see the variety of opportunities available to restoration professionals and equip them to meet these challenges,” said ASCR President Brian Spiegel, CR. Following the two-day core conference will be two optional half-day workshops, one addressing the numerous issues involved in using Xactimate 24 and the other will be a marketing idea exchange session open only to ASCR members. The conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt Denver in conjunction with ASCR’s Environmental Conference and will begin with a joint networking reception and product exhibition. The cost is $595 per person for members and $795 for non-members. An early-bird discount is available for those registering by Oct. 4. More information is available by phoning the conference hotline: (800) 272-7012 or visiting www.ascr.org.
