Columbia, MD, April 4, 2006--The Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration (ASCR) unveiled a new insurance program for members at its recent convention in Savannah, Georgia. Working with Ross Driscoll, CR, of Driscoll & Driscoll Insurance and carrier Zurich, the new program offers members unprecedented discounts. All qualifying ASCR members are eligible to receive an immediate 5% discount on their general and pollution liability insurance policies up to the cost of their ASCR membership fee. Companies with one or more employees holding the Certified Restorer (CR) designation will receive an additional 10% off plus their ASCR membership discount. Companies with individuals holding the Water Loss Specialist (WLS) and/or Certified Mold Professional (CMP) designation will also receive additional discounts on their premiums, which are cumulative up to a total of 25%. “This program recognizes the value of these advanced designations for both our members and the clients they serve,” said ASCR President Brian Spiegel, CR. “The advanced level of education they receive enables them to do the best possible job for their companies and clients.” "As a leading provider of environmental insurance, Zurich has the experience to tailor coverage to the unique insurance needs of restoration contractors," said Ron Keegan of Zurich's environmental business unit. "We are pleased to work with ASCR on a program that recognizes the professionalism of its members in general and the commitment to operational excellence of designation conferees in particular." “We are very happy to be able to partner with Zurich in offering this new benefit to ASCR members,” said Ross Driscoll, president of Driscoll & Driscoll. Both general liability and pollution coverage can be combined into one policy.
