Ascend Expanding Alabama Nylon Plant

Foley, AL, Jan. 28, 2011 -- Ascend Performance Materials plans to expand its plant in Foley, according to AL.com.

Ascend, which acquired Solutia Corp.’s nylon facilities last year, reportedly will spend $7 million to double its Foley plant’s production capacity. The Foley plant is involved in the production of Nylon 6,6.
