Artist Gordon Huether Presenting "Art in Architecture" at NeoCon

Chicago, IL, June 8, 2017-Artist Gordon Huether will present “Art in Architecture,” an American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education Accredited lecture at the 2017 NeoCon, held at The Mart in Chicago, Illinois, June 12 to 14.

“Art in Architecture” describes the best practices, methods, theories and approaches for integrating art into interior design and architectural spaces.

Huether believes that artistic elements in built environments transform and create memorable and uplifting experiences for users of the space. In addition to providing aesthetic enhancements, thoughtful and well-integrated art can introduce welcoming, place-making and iconographic benefits to the architectural space.  A variety of case studies that demonstrate the benefits of integrating art into interior design and architectural settings will be reviewed. Techniques, approaches and methodology of art integration, along with best practices of including an artist on the project team will also be discussed. Examples of art in healthcare, educational, hospitality, residential, public spaces and more will also be reviewed.

Huether will be presenting his hour-long AIA CEU session on June 14th at 11AM at The Mart, the official conference grounds for NeoCon, Chicago.
