Armstrong, Union Reach Agreement in West VA

Beverly, W VA, April 4, 2011 -- Armstrong World Industries and local union members have reached an agreement that allows union workers to keep their health care benefits with some minor changes.

The agreement also gives workers a $500 bonus immediately, with another $500 bonus set for next year, and a 25-cent per hour increase will be given in 2013.

New employees will be put into a plan with a lesser level of benefits than current employees, but not until 2012.
