Armstrong Shifts Distrib. Biz from Bird to Haines, Derr & OH Valley
Lancaster, PA, January 29, 2018--Armstrong has announced that it will expand the territories of three of its distribution partners and end its long-time partnership with William M. Bird.
Derr Flooring Company’s territory will be expanded to include parts of northern Virginia; J.J. Haines’ will be expanded to include parts of Alabama, the Florida panhandle, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee; and Ohio Valley Flooring’s territory will now include western Pennsylvania. Derr and Haines will share distribution of the Bruce brand in northern Virginia.
The changes go into effect April 1.
This ends Armstrong’s relationship with William M. Bird, which was first established in 1936. Bird has been in operation since 1865, when it began supplying materials to rebuild the south after the Civil War.
