Armstrong Says It's Not For Sale

Lancaster, PA, March 3, 2010--Armstrong World Industries reiterated that it is not looking for a new owner, its new chief financial officer said during Monday's conference call with analysts, according to LancasterOnline.

"I didn't come on board to sell the company," said Thomas B. Mangas, who moved to Armstrong in early January from Procter & Gamble.

The company said it is looking for ways to expand sales in Russia, India and China, markets that are growing quickly compared to North America.

"I don't interpret Mike's departure as a significant change in strategy," Mangas said of the resignation of CEO Mike Lockhart after 10 years.
