Armstrong Recalling Laid Off Flooring Workers
Elkins, WVA, April 9, 2012 -- Armstrong World Industries is recalling workers who were laid off last November at the company's Beverly plant, according to The State Journal.
Armstrong told the Virginia newspaper that demand has increased for the company's flooring, ceilings and cabinets. The Beverly plant is a flooring plant.
Approximately 35 of the more than 100 employees who were laid off have returned to work at the Beverly plant, and, according to the report, Armstrong is in the process of bringing back another 40 workers.
