Armstrong Not Going To Surfaces

Lancaster, PA, July 31--Armstrong has made the decision not to exhibit at Surfaces 2004. The firm will use its 20,000 square foot customer visitation center in Lancaster to host trade shows during the year instead. Armstrong is the latest in a list of firms to pass on the flooring industry's top trade show, joining Shaw, Mohawk, Congoleum and Columbia Flooring. Armstrong is taking the same approach as Shaw and Mohawk--hosting a number of smaller events so that it can give a little more individual attention to its customers than it would during one large show. Next year, the company says it will bring over 1,000 customers to Lancaster to view its full portfolio of products. The firm also intends to host 100 town hall meetings with its distributors in their local markets.
