Armstrong Names VP of Product Styling & Design

Lancaster, PA, May 28--Armstrong Floor Products today named Jim Mathis, vice president, Product Styling & Design, reporting to Frank Ready, senior vice president, North America Sales and Marketing, Armstrong Floor Products. The appointment is effective immediately. Jim Mathis is responsible for the development and execution of floor product-specific design strategies to reinforce Armstrong’s leadership in color and design. In addition, Jim continues to be responsible for the Armstrong Avenue, which provides a venue for communicating design to various channel customers. Jim started his Armstrong career in 1989 as a project designer in the ABP Design group, and enjoyed a number of promotions up to his most recent role of Director of Facilities Management. He has also served as Global Design Manager, ABP. Jim received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1989.
