Armstrong Lays Off 60 in West Virginia

Beverly, W.VA, March 4, 2008-- Armstrong World Industries laid off 60 employees Monday at its wood plant here. The workers were notified of the job reductions last month.

Currently Armstrong flooring employs about 1,000 workers at its Beverly plant.

About 8 percent of the plant’s workers have been laid off in the last month.
