Armstrong Launches Two New Resilient Collections
Lancaster, PA, February 16--Style and design, with the emphasis on current, on-trend patterns, is the imprint of the newest resilient flooring from Armstrong Floor Products. Behind much of the innovation at Armstrong is Masterworks Technology, first introduced two years ago, and which Armstrong has been steadily refining ever since. Masterworks Technology is a process improvement that cuts across all the major styles of flooring – basic and natural, florals and decoratives, geometrics and wood visuals. Hardwoods, for example, are traditionally difficult to reproduce in vinyl, but that is becoming less and less true because of the stronger graining, ticking and gradients of coloration that Masterworks Technology makes possible such as the highly realistic Old Country floor from the StarStep collection. The latest designs set to debut in the Spring will include the roughhewn elegance of cobblestone in a modular paver called Saguaro and a 9" tumbled marble paver called Lost River in the award-winning Destinations collection. A new, subtle natural, (Schoolhouse Gold), will be added to the Mesita brick design, itself voted a "Most Valuable Product" by industry publication Building Products magazine. MasterWorks Technology also received recognition from Consumers' Digest magazine. Two exciting visuals – Kahiki and Cottington – are being added to Armstrong's designer series, the popular and critically acclaimed Urban Settings collection. It is a trend- setting set of deeply textured, innovative, sheet-vinyl designs. The two new designs are modern interpretations of natural looks. Kahiki is a wood visual "sort of like a parquet with a twist that is reminiscent of American folk art" and the Cottington floor is a visual of leaves on fresco. These new Urban Settings designs are now also with Masterworks Technology.
