Armstrong Intros New Linoleum Line

Lancaster, PA, July 8--Armstrong Floor Products announces the new “Living Colors of Linoleum” Collection, a focused North American portfolio that adds 55 new colors in six distinctive styles to provide a comprehensive, color-integrated spectrum that coordinates within the line, across Armstrong product categories and with other commercial interior finishes for optimum design flexibility. “The significance here is that this palette, with its expanded midtones and rich colors, is distinctly North American and a departure from the starker contrasts of European design that have dominated linoleum design here in recent years,” says Armstrong Senior Designer, Paul A. Pearce. “The line, which is arranged by color rather than by collection, was developed to meet emerging North American design and color trends after analyzing specific customer and market research – and fine-tuned with feedback from dozens of leading interior designers,” Pearce says. Based on the research, the collection adds more neutral-tinted midtones and warm neutral tones for greater color coordination, more tonal looks and higher visual impact. Armstrong’s flagship Marmorett line anchors the collection, featuring 33 new colors. Fine marbling characteristics are displayed in a rich array of contemporary colors. The collection also encompasses: Linorette – A line of 12 background and accent colors that create sophisticated color combinations and also coordinates with Marmorette. Colorette– A line of cleaner and brighter colors, including seven speckled bright solids sprinkled with subtle patterning to help conceal dirt and traffic wear patterns. Granette – A line that combines the natural look of granite with the maintenance benefits and underfoot comfort of Linoleum. Uni Walton– A line of solid color flooring designed to create eye-catching borders, insets and custom accents. Armstrong also markets the Linodur line for industrial applications. The comprehensive North American linoleum collection coordinates with colors and patterns within the line; with interior finishes such as paints, textiles and wall coverings; as well as with other Armstrong commercial flooring products – hardwood, vinyl sheet and tile, vinyl composition tile and specialty flooring. The collection spans six patterns in 6 ft. 7 in. wide sheet, which are available in a range of gauges for options in performance and installed costs. “Leading-edge aesthetics, high performance, economic value and environmentally-friendly building design do not have to be mutually exclusive goals. With our new collection, designers can prove it,” says Armstrong Linoleum Product Manager Laura Hubbard.
