Armstrong Executive Leaving Company

Lancaster, PA, April 8, 2011 -- Armstrong senior vice president and general counsel Jeffrey D. Nickel stepped down from his position on April 1, according to Lancaster Online.

However, he will remain employed by Armstrong through June 30 to help with producing its proxy statement and aid with the transition.

Armstrong said that Nickel is leaving to pursue other opportunities, and a search is under way for his successor.

Nickel joined Armstrong in 2001 from the legal department of Dow Corning. He started as group counsel for Armstrong's global flooring business.
