Armstrong Ceiling Plant Closing

Beaver Falls, PA, July 29, 2011 -- Friday is the last day for workers at the Armstrong World Industries specialty ceiling tile plant in Beaver Falls, according to the Beaver County Times.

Armstrong, which has four other ceiling tile plants in the United States, has been slowly phasing out jobs at the plant since July 2010 in preparation for its closing.

A new owner will take control of the site Monday.

Armstrong said the plant is closing due to weak customer demand.
