Armstrong Building Ceiling Tile Plant in W. Va.
Charleston, WVA, Oct. 25, 2010 -- Armstrong World Industries is investing about $35 million to build a new plant in Jackson for the production of ceiling tiles.
The plant will produce mineral wool fiber that Armstrong uses in its acoustic ceiling tile products.
Armstrong officials said the proximity of a smelter influenced their decision to locate in Jackson County because the feedstock material used to make the mineral wool fibers is produced during the smelting process.
