Armstrong and Mannington Settle Suits

Lancaster, PA, Oct. 29--Armstrong World Industries and Mannington Mills have entered into an agreement involving the patent infringement lawsuits filed against one another last year. Terms of the agreement, which affect the Armstrong Floor Products division of AWI, are confidential. Chan Galbato, president and CEO of Armstrong Floor Products, and Tom Davis, president and CEO of Mannington Mills, said they're pleased with the outcome. "This settlement enables our companies to once again focus on competing in the marketplace, rather than in the courtroom," said Galbato. Davis added, "It also paves the way for Mannington and Armstrong to work together more harmoniously for the common good of the flooring categories in which we compete."
