Armstrong Adds Executive Vice President

Lancaster, PA, Apr. 28--Armstrong Holdings, Inc. announced that long-term company executive Stephen J. Senkowski has been elected an Executive Vice President of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., effective immediately. "This well deserved promotion reflects our appreciation of the continuing excellent performance of the Building Products team and the positive influence Steve has had on the organizations for which he has recently assumed responsibility," said CEO Mike Lockhart. In addition to serving as President and CEO of Armstrong Building Products, Steve is responsible for Armstrong Cabinet Products and these corporate functions: Information Technology, Process Improvement, Purchasing and Environmental Health and Safety. Steve was named President and CEO of Armstrong Building Products (ABP) in October of 2000. Prior to that role he served as Senior Vice President of ABP Americas and President of Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE), a joint venture that manufactures grid suspension products. Steve also served as Vice President of Innovation, ABP and held various assignments in multiple operations since beginning his Armstrong career in 1973. He is a graduate of Lehigh University.
