Aquafil Investing $40 Million in Slovenia Plant

Arco Di Trento, Italy, August 30, 2007--Aquafil S.p.a. is investing $40 million in its Lubiana, Slovenia plant to expand its yarn capacity by 10,000 tons per year.

The Lubiana site, in addition to its significant textile yarn and relevant texturing operation, manufactures 35,000 tons of nylon polymer and 15,000 tons of nylon yarn for the carpet market.

The expansion, to be completed next year, includes new spinning lines and a completely new automated bobbin handling and packing system, as well as, a new warping plant. The new warping plant, needed to support the expanded capacity of warp-knitting and weaving yarns, will continue the company’s sales growth into these critical markets.

The company said the additional material is being produced for European manufacturers.
