Aquafil Buys Italian Yarn Manufacturer

Arco di Trento, Italy, February 6, 2008--Aquafil SpA has acquired Borgolon SpA.

The Borgolon plant in Varallo Pombia manufactures over six million pounds a year of specialty, fine denier nylon solution dyed yarn.

Giulio Bonazzi, Aquafil Managing Director said: “The acquisition of Borgolon, together with the substantial investments launched at the Lubjiana (Slovenia) and Cartersville (Georgia, U.S.) plants reinforces Aquafil strategy to maintain and improve its leadership position as specialty yarn manufacturer, particularly solution dyed nylon for carpet, upholstery and apparel applications."
