Auckland, New Zealand, November 27, 2006--An application has been lodged at the High Court in Auckland to liquidate the carpet-maker Feltex, according to Newswire.co.nz.
Since it was sold to the Australian firm Godfrey Hirst last month Feltex has been in receivership, with work to pay out secured creditors continuing.
The court action has been filed by the Shareholders Association and is supported by at least one substantial unsecured creditor.
Insolvency specialists, McDonald Vague, have agreed to act as liquidators and the hearing is due to be held on November 30th.
There will be another hearing a day earlier, to appoint a new director to the company to protect shareholders interests.
