Appel Sells Stake in Touch of Color, Launches Frontier Surfaces

Harrisburg, PA, September 10, 2021-Scott Appel, founder of Touch of Color Flooring headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, sold his 19-year ownership stake in the company. In his next entrepreneurial journey, Appel will focus on expanding his newest venture, Frontier Surfaces, a global flooring manufacturing and distribution company, based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Building on Appel’s 20 years of residential and commercial flooring expertise, Frontier Surfaces is a leading provider of innovative home décor solutions. From flooring to wall coverings, Frontier Surfaces is a growing family of brands featuring CoreLogic Flooring, SmartSoft Carpet, and Wall-La-La wallcoverings-all created and distributed from Pennsylvania by Appel and sold worldwide.

We focus on the customer first and have built a lean supply chain that eliminates excess layers of markup and passes these savings onto our customers. I was tired of overpaying for brands made by others, so I traveled the world to source, develop, and manufacture our own products.”
