Antrim Carpets Co-Founder O'Neill Retires

Syosset, NY, Feb. 27, 2009 — Stanton Carpet said co-founder and vice president of sales for Antrim, Fran O’Neill has retired.

 O’Neill along with Dan McGovern founded Antrim Carpets in 1997.
 
When Stanton Carpet acquired Antrim in November 2007, O’Neill was an instrumental part of transitioning the sales staff and continued to grow business across the country and in Canada.

O’Neill got his start in 1971 when he became a salesman for carpeting manufacturer Beatty Carpet. In 1979 he went to work for Karastan and rose to executive vice president of sales and marketing for ther residential division.

He left Karastan in 1988 to join Congoleum as the senior vice president of sales and marketing before starting Antrim with McGovern in 1997.
