Anorim/Wicanders Win Green Log Home Award

Hanover, MD, July 3, 2008--Amorim Flooring North America and Wicanders Cork Oak Floors won an award in the 2008 Green Log Home & Lifestyle Awards.

The awards program was created in response to the growing demand for green building products and information. The goal of the awards program is to recognize people and companies who are “Building a greener world, one home at a time.”

The awards were founded by the non-profit organization Green Log Awards Inc. in cooperation with the Environment News Service, the original daily wire service covering environmental issues.

For five months the awards program used social networking and blogging to nominate the best green products, not just for the log and timber home industry but for the building industry as a whole.

Anorim was chosen for an Honorable Mention in the Flooring: Alternative Green Materials category from over 200 nominees.

Wicanders cork oak was a winner because it uses a renewable raw material its harvesting never harms a tree.
