Analyst Downgrades Omnova Solutions

Fairlawn, OH, Jan. 12, 2009--KeyBanc has downgraded Omnova Solutions from hold to underweight.

"While OMN is taking action to reduce costs and better align its cost structure and the company should see some benefit from lower raw materials in 2009, we sense daunting volume declines and associated fixed cost absorption will greatly limit its ability to turn a profit in the year ahead," KeyBanc said.

"With no end market relief in sight and the potential for choppy near-term earnings we suspect the stock could revisit 2008 lows during the months ahead."
