Amstrong Shareholders Elect 11 Directors

Lancaster, PA, July 8, 2010--Armstrong shareholders elected 11 directors Friday at the firm's annual meeting.

Re-elected to the board of directors were:

Stan A. Askren, chairman, president and CEO of HNI Corp.; David Bonderman, founding partner of TPG Capital; Kevin R. Burns, a partner in TPG's operations group; James J. Gaffney, former consultant to GS Capital Partners II LP; Armstrong board chairman James J. O'Connor, retired chairman and CEO of Unicom Corp.; and John J. Roberts, former global managing partner for PriceWaterhouse Coopers LLP.

Newly elected were:

Tao Huang, chief operating officer of Morningstar Inc.; Michael F. Johnston, retired chairman of Visteon Corp.; Larry S. McWilliams, senior vice president of Campbell Soup Co.; Richard E. Wenz, consultant and private investor; and Bettina M. Whyte, chairman of the advisory board of Bridge Associates LLC.

They will be joined on the board by Matthew J. Espe, Armstrong's newly hired president and CEO, late this month.
