Ample Sample Contest Finalists Named

Chattanooga TN, June 2, 2008--Bentley Prince Street, Inc., Floor Focus magazine and Tricycle have announced the finalists for Ample Sample 2008, the design contest inaugurated last year.

Drawing entries from design students to design professionals from around the world once again, the finalists have proven
that repurposed carpet samples can become design products- both useful and beautiful.

The finalists include Semiha Kan of Istanbul, Turkey, Evan Gant of Boston, Mass., Jonathan Knodell of GHA Design Studios, Tanja Meyle of MEYLENSTEIN, Vala Abolghasemy of Potomac, Md., Amy Tasch of Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc., Rahman Polk of Azara Design Lab, Helder Santos of Hell Studio, and Lyall Design of Norfolk, Va.

"We were impressed with the quality and variety of entries this year, " said Michael Hendrix, Tricycle's chief brand officer. "In the end we selected a group of designs that represent our belief in sustainable processes and also present do-it-yourself projects with multiple levels of difficulty. One of our measures of success is the number of people participating after the Judge's Choice announcement."

Blueprints and/or instructions of finalists' designs are now available for free download from www.amplesample.net. The Judge's Choice will be announced at NeoCon World's Trade Fair in Chicago on June 11. Voting for People's Choice will also take place at NeoCon, located in the Ample Sample space on the 8th floor.
