Alexander Anisimov Launches Line of Handcrafted Ca
Beverly Hills, CA, October 27--Moscow-based floor covering designer and manufacturer Alexander Anisimov is presenting the first in his line of fine custom handcrafted and designed carpets, Alexander's Collection America, created exclusively for the U.S. market at The Esquire House Los Angeles in Beverly Hills. The Esquire House will serve as the location for a series of magazine-sponsored exclusive events and charity fundraisers from September through December 2004. With help from leading designers, vendors, advertisers, and marketers, the space -- a breathtaking $11-million estate in Beverly Hills -- will reflect a modern man's lifestyle through design, fashion, sports, film, state-of-the-art electronics and technology, and world-class art. "For the second year in a row, Esquire will have created a unique space for showcasing the most trend-setting and modern in home design," said Alexander Anisimov, president, Alexander's Collection. "This year's Esquire House Los Angeles events highlight the latest in design, fashion, technology and art, and truly represent a remarkable opportunity for new design presentations such as ours." Selected by award winning interior designer Cheryl Gardner, ASID, CID of Cheryl Gardner Interior Design for the line's clarity of design and color, a single 196-square-foot carpet from the Alexander Collection has been custom created to grace the floor of the Chrysler Garage, which house the latest models of the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster, as well as the Chrysler 300 C and Chrysler Pacifica during the Esquire House events. "We are very pleased that the inaugural display of Alexander's Collection is taking place at this year's Esquire House Los Angeles," said Stephen Jacoby, associate publisher/marketing of Esquire. "Given our focus on luxury, design and technology, they fit nicely into this project." A fixture in the rapidly expanding interior design industry of Moscow, Alexander Anisimov has been designing and producing custom floor coverings since 1991. His unique vision of carpeting as art can be found in the such high profile locations as the Kremlin apartments of Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of Russia and the private of residence of Boris Yeltsin, former Russian president, as well as a cross section of celebrities and dignitaries from Moscow to London. Using the multifaceted history of Russia as his inspiration, and designing area rugs as well as wall to wall carpeting which depict both traditional and exotic motifs, Anisimov has developed close affiliations with such prestigious institutions as The Hermitage in Saint Petersburg and The Moscow Museum of History, providing him unique access to the art, color and designs of these world-reknowned museum collections. Debuting a collection designed exclusively for the U.S. market, Anisimov's display draws upon his reverence for the elements, nature and the arts. Themes involving air, water and the earth's living creatures are interpreted through Anisimov's unique artistic perspective and rendered in a revolutionary use of fine wool and silk yarns. Alexander's Collection America will be opening its first U.S. showroom along Melrose Place, the heart of the Los Angeles design community, in November 2004. The showroom will feature his complete European collection as well as his latest offerings for the US interior design community. The Esquire House Los Angeles will include an interactive element at www.esquire.com. Web site visitors will be able to take a tour of the space, clicking through to design ideas and products that interest them, as well as view photos from the events. The Esquire House will serve as the location for a series of magazine-sponsored exclusive events and charity fundraisers.
