AFA Receives Appalachian Regional Commission Grant

Dalton, GA, March 10, 2006--The American Floorcovering Alliance has been awarded a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to be used for the association's export initiative program for Domotex 2007. Domotex is the international floor covering industry's largest trade fair, and is extremely attractive for Georgia firms to gain valuable exposure and expand their global customer base. Buyers from all over the world attend the annual event in Hannover, Germany. The prime objective of this grant is to help create and sustain jobs in Northwest Georgia, particularly for smaller firms that are hard-pressed to participate in this key international marketing event. Experience suggests that if small Georgia companies can afford to go to Domotex, it will generate sales, expand their overseas distribution and create jobs.
